He suffers from Asperger's disorder and malignant narcissism. At least one of his male children is affected with Asperger's disorder, a genetic disorder, as well. Appelbaum is well known for targeting those he considers a threat to his status, and readily violates hospital bylaws, as well as state and federal laws. He interfered with sex trafficking reporting and investigation which is a federal crime. He has harmed multiple doctors and patients and is a threat to public health due to his illegitimacy and careerism.</p><p>Appelbaum should not be working on clinical or forensic cases or opining about various aspects of ethical behavior or legal violations.
